HVAC Services in Holliston, MA

Holliston sits on Medway’s northern border, and Medway is where Top Notch HVAC Company is based. That matters. We’re not private-equity backed and we’re not trying to be everywhere at once. We keep a tight, realistic service radius around Medway so we can show up faster, do the job thoroughly, and avoid the tech burnout that leads to rushed work.

For Holliston homeowners, that means heating, cooling, water heater, and air quality service from a family-owned team with over 35 years of experience. Same-day, no-obligation, free estimates. 24/7 emergency service when the heat quits at night.

A Metro West Town With Old Roots

Holliston was established in 1724, and it still calls itself an agricultural town, with farms, open space, and the Old Mill Building a short walk from the Rail Trail. It sits in Middlesex County, on the Metro West side of our service area, even though it shares a border with Norfolk County towns like Medway and Millis.

Most systems that heat a Holliston home are ones we work on every week: furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, oil heating systems, and geothermal systems.

Holliston Water and Your Water Heater

Town water in Holliston comes from five groundwater supply wells, and four of the five are filtered for iron and manganese, which the town notes can discolor water or give it an unpleasant odor or taste. So if your hot water looks rusty, the tank isn’t automatically the culprit. We diagnose the actual problem first, then walk you through repair options in plain language.

If staining or discoloration keeps showing up, our whole house water filtration options include iron filters for exactly that, plus sediment filters and water softeners. We test your water first and recommend only what your home actually needs.

Tankless owners, one more note: across the Metro West area, hard water mineral scale is the most common tankless issue. We descale heat exchangers and clean inlet filter screens as part of tankless service.

Get Ahead of Heating Season in Holliston

Fall is the time to have your heating checked, before the first cold snap. A fall heating tune-up covers safety checks like carbon monoxide testing and burner operation, plus the controls and airflow checks that keep a system running steady. It helps reduce the chances of an unexpected breakdown during a cold stretch, which is the call nobody wants to make in February.

What to Expect When You Call

When you reach out, we confirm your appointment window, ask a few quick questions about the symptoms, and let you know what to have ready so the visit goes smoothly. Top Notch is a medium-sized company with experienced leadership and lead installers, so you’re not getting a different answer depending on who picks up the phone or which technician shows up.

Once we’re on site, we figure out what’s actually going on and explain your options in plain language. You make the call. We also work with major insurance companies when a claim is involved.
